A Journal of Christian Ethics

Christian Ethics Today is published by the Christian Ethics Today Foundation in order to provide laypersons, educators, and ministers with a resource for understanding and responding in a faithful Christian manner to moral and ethical issues that are of concern to contemporary Christians, to the church, and to society.

Christian Ethics Today was born in the mind and heart of Foy Valentine, as an integral part of his dream for a Center for Christian Ethics. In his words, the purpose of the Journal was "to inform, inspire, and unify a lively company of individuals and organizations interested in working for personal morality and public righteousness."

With 59 issues spanning the years 1995 to 2006, the Christian Ethics Today digital library is an invaluable resource. Nearly 750 articles by over 250 contemporary writers address the issues concerning today's Christians, including politics, Christian action, and theology in the modern world. All 59 issues have been compiled on one CD-ROM, and can be searched in seconds. Articles are indexed by issue, by author, and by subject.

The Christian Ethics Today Foundation

"We need now to recover the prophethood of all believers,
matching our zeal for the priesthood of all believers
with a passion for the prophethood of all believers."

-Foy Valentine, Founding Editor

PURPOSES

Christian Ethics Today was born in the mind and heart of Foy Valentine in 1995, as an integral part of his dream for a Center for Christian Ethics. In his words, the purpose of the Journal was "to inform, inspire, and unify a lively company of individuals and organizations interested in working for personal morality and public righteousness."

When the Center was transferred to Baylor University in June 2000, the disbanding Board voted to continue the publication of Christian Ethics Today, appointing a new editor and a new Board. The Journal will continue to be published bi-monthly.
